Job Title: Accountant (Gaming Revenue)

Position Summary

The Accountant (Gaming Revenue) is responsible for the independent verification, reconciliation, and reporting of all casino gaming revenues. This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of gaming transactions through detailed audits, financial analysis, and compliance monitoring.

The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding revenue, supporting internal controls, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring adherence to gaming regulations and financial procedures. The position requires close collaboration with casino operations, surveillance, cage operations, and finance teams to maintain a strong control environment within a fast-paced onboard gaming operation.

 

Key Responsibilities

Gaming Revenue Audit & Reconciliation

• Perform daily end-to-end audits of gaming revenue generated from table games and slot operations.
• Reconcile gaming revenue reports against system-generated data, drop counts, meter readings, and physical count documentation.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of table game drops, soft counts, slot revenue reports, and gaming system transactions.
• Ensure all gaming transactions are properly recorded and supported by appropriate documentation.
• Review daily operational reports and validate financial results.

Cage & Cash Transaction Review

• Review cage transactions including chip issuance, redemptions, fills, credits, transfers, and player account activities.
• Validate daily cage reconciliation reports and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor player credit accounts to ensure proper approvals, controls, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with established cash handling and gaming finance procedures.

Variance Investigation & Exception Reporting

• Identify revenue variances, unusual trends, and irregular gaming transactions.
• Conduct detailed investigations and perform root cause analysis on discrepancies.
• Escalate significant issues to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare daily exception reports with clear analysis, supporting evidence, and recommended actions.
• Monitor operational risks and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Ensure adherence to established operating procedures, financial controls, and gaming compliance requirements.
• Monitor compliance within table game operations, count room procedures, slot handling processes, and cage activities.
• Participate in scheduled and surprise audits as required.
• Support the continuous enhancement of internal control frameworks and risk management practices.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive financial information.

Coordination with Operations & Surveillance

• Work closely with surveillance teams regarding suspicious transactions, irregular activities, and investigations.
• Collaborate with table games, slots, and cage operations to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide audit findings and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and reduce revenue leakage.
• Support cross-functional initiatives aimed at strengthening controls and reporting accuracy.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and submit daily gaming audit reports within established reporting deadlines.
• Maintain complete audit trails and supporting documentation for all reconciliations and reviews.
• Assist with weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financial reporting requirements.
• Support management reporting through analysis of gaming performance and operational trends.
• Ensure proper retention and organization of audit records.

Audit & Regulatory Support

• Assist internal and external auditors by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Support regulatory reviews, inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Address audit findings and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure audit readiness and compliance with applicable financial and gaming requirements.

 

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in auditing, accounting, revenue control, or finance operations.
• Experience within a casino, integrated resort, hospitality, cruise ship, or gaming environment is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of casino operations including table games, slot operations, cage activities, and gaming revenue processes.
• Familiarity with gaming audit systems, casino management platforms, and financial reporting tools is advantageous.
