Mechatronic Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and optimize automated systems, machinery, and manufacturing equipment to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
• Support the installation, setup, testing, commissioning, and validation of automation equipment and production systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues to minimize production downtime.
• Program, configure, maintain, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, servo systems, and other industrial control devices.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve machine reliability, efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Participate in automation projects, process improvement initiatives, and Industry 4.0 implementation activities.
• Assist in machine upgrades, modifications, retrofitting projects, and integration of new equipment into existing production lines.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for equipment-related issues.
• Ensure machinery and automation systems comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, electrical schematics, maintenance records, equipment manuals, and engineering reports.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Monitor and evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience in manufacturing, automation, or industrial engineering environments will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with HMI, SCADA, servo drives, sensors, robotics, and motion control systems is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial controls.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and engineering-related software tools.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willingness to support equipment installation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities when required.
