Industrial Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost performance.

• Study production workflows, manpower utilization, machine capacity, and operational performance to identify improvement opportunities.

• Drive process optimization, waste reduction, and cost-saving initiatives through continuous improvement activities.

• Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, process flow charts, and manufacturing documentation.

• Conduct time studies, work measurements, and establish standard cycle times for production processes.

• Support production layout design, line balancing, capacity planning, and workflow optimization.

• Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and recommend corrective and preventive actions to achieve operational targets.

• Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to improve overall manufacturing performance.

• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and other continuous improvement projects.

• Assist in implementing productivity enhancement and operational excellence initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare reports, data analysis, and presentations to support management decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.

• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), or Continuous Improvement methodologies is preferred.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and support operational improvement initiatives.
