Injection Molding Engineer
Job Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the injection molding department to achieve production, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.
- Develop, optimize, validate, and maintain injection molding processes to ensure consistent product quality and stable production performance.
- Participate in mold design reviews, mold trials, process validation, and manufacturing feasibility assessments.
- Monitor machine and mold performance, coordinating preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment effectiveness.
- Analyze production data and process parameters to identify opportunities for productivity improvement, cycle time reduction, and waste elimination.
- Troubleshoot molding defects, process deviations, and quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions to ensure product conformity.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, and Engineering teams to support smooth manufacturing operations and new product introductions.
- Support process improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing activities, and cost reduction projects to improve overall operational efficiency.
- Assist in the implementation of engineering changes, process documentation updates, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and operational procedures.
- Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and performance analysis reports as required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in injection molding, manufacturing engineering, or a related industrial environment.
- Experience in Metal Injection Molding (MIM) processes will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of injection molding machines, mold setup, process optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems, process control methodologies, and continuous improvement practices is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and process consistency.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic engineering documentation.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
