Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Coordination

  • Plan mould setup and production line activities to achieve daily and monthly production targets.

  • Arrange and coordinate procurement of materials required for precast component production.

  • Develop monthly and weekly production schedules, delivery plans, manpower allocation, and machinery utilization plans.

  • Conduct site visits as required to investigate defects, address customer complaints, and implement corrective actions.

  • Prepare daily production schedules and coordinate data entry into the ERP system for distribution to the production team.

2. Supervision & Workforce Management

  • Supervise production supervisors, team leaders, and production workers to ensure efficient execution of manufacturing activities.

  • Monitor workforce productivity, attendance, and discipline while providing guidance, coaching, and training as required.

  • Coordinate shift schedules and ensure adequate manpower coverage.

3. Quality Control & Process Compliance

  • Ensure production activities comply with approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with QA/QC personnel to investigate and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

  • Analyze root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality systems and production processes.

  • Conduct pre-pour and post-pour inspections to ensure compliance with production SOPs and quality requirements.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with the design team on shop drawing approvals, drawing interpretation, and resolution of technical discrepancies.

  • Attend production meetings and provide progress updates and operational reports.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between departments.

  • Coordinate with the mould team regarding production-related defects and corrective action requirements.

5. Material & Resource Management

  • Monitor availability of raw materials, inserts, accessories, consumables, and production resources.

  • Drive initiatives to reduce material wastage and improve storage and handling practices.

  • Coordinate with procurement personnel to ensure timely delivery of critical materials.

  • Maintain accurate production, inventory, and stock records to support project requirements.

  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.

6. Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify production bottlenecks and operational issues and implement timely corrective actions.

  • Escalate significant issues to management and support solution implementation.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

7. Health, Safety & Housekeeping

  • Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a strong safety culture.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within production areas.

  • Monitor the proper use and condition of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

8. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and maintain production reports, casting records, and daily progress updates.

  • Analyze production performance data and recommend improvement opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate operational documentation and records.

9. Training & Development

  • Support the development and competency improvement of production personnel.

  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and operational training sessions.

  • Promote awareness of work procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

10. Other Duties

  • Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management.

  • Duties and responsibilities may be revised based on operational requirements.

 

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the precast concrete manufacturing industry.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of precast concrete production processes.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Knowledge of production planning, inventory control, and quality management systems.

  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
