Job Summary
The Production Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating installation and production activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, within budget, and according to engineering specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. This role involves close coordination with project teams, contractors, and engineering personnel to support smooth project execution and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Supervision (60%)
- Supervise contractors’ installation activities on a daily basis.
- Ensure all installation work complies with engineering drawings, Malaysian standards, and industry best practices.
- Monitor workmanship quality and ensure the correct materials are used during installation.
- Coordinate material issuance from the store to contractors.
- Resolve installation-related issues raised during project execution.
- Arrange and coordinate QC inspections with the Quality Control team before handover to the Service department.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality, schedule, and safety expectations.
2. Project Production Scheduling (20%)
- Ensure all production and installation activities follow the project schedule established by the Project Manager.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks or delays.
- Escalate schedule deviations or operational issues promptly for corrective action.
- Coordinate manpower and material planning to support smooth project execution.
3. Work Improvement & Engineering Support (10%)
- Assist in developing installation guidelines and standard work procedures.
- Support Engineering in preparing and improving 2D and 3D construction/installation drawings.
- Review, update, and mark up drawings to minimize installation modifications and additional project costs.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and technical enhancements.
4. Occupational Health & Safety (10%)
- Ensure contractors and workers comply with workplace safety rules and regulations.
- Promote a safe and healthy working environment in all production and installation activities.
- Monitor adherence to safety procedures and report unsafe practices immediately.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Technical Certification or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production, installation, manufacturing, or related industries.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to understand and assist in developing construction and installation drawings.
- Knowledge of installation practices, quality standards, and industrial safety requirements.
- Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage contractors and supervise installation activities effectively.
- Familiarity with 2D/3D technical drawings is an added advantage.
