Field Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Electrical Engineer to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational support of electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and industrial equipment systems. This role requires both field and workshop involvement, including offshore assignments when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose PLC systems, electrical components, circuit systems, and electric motors
• Perform maintenance, repair, and operational support for industrial and offshore equipment
• Conduct inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure operational efficiency
• Assist in troubleshooting hydraulic systems, hydraulic pumps & motors, and diesel engine systems
• Support equipment operation, commissioning, and fault rectification activities
• Collaborate with site teams to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
• Follow company safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment
• Prepare basic technical documentation, reports, and maintenance records
• Support office-based functions such as documentation, purchasing coordination, and cost control when required
• Willingness to travel offshore for project assignments with offshore allowance provided

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Strong hands-on experience in troubleshooting PLC systems and electrical components
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, hydraulic pumps & motors, and diesel engines will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in offshore, marine, industrial, or heavy equipment maintenance is preferred
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and maintenance procedures
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with technical teams
• Willing to travel offshore and work on-site when required
• Candidates located near Gelang Patah / Johor area will have an added advantage
