OPERATIONS DIRECTOR (JOHOR BAHRU, JOHOR)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the full spectrum of the company's Production Operations function;
Coordinate the internal structure of the organization to ensure an efficient work environment and
deadlines are met on time;
Propose and outline and continuously improve existing goals and objectives with more efficient systems
and policies where necessary;
Oversee all operational aspects of company strategy, helps set strategic goals and is responsible for the
flow of operational information to the Chief Operating Officer;
Assist top management in setting goals that promote company growth;
Responsible for performing complex operational activities to ensure the right quality products are
produced on time in accordance with manufacturing best practices impacting specific functions;
Prepare budgets, schedules and other organizational reports as required;
Promote and enforce safety and health practices in the workplace;
Manage stock and inventory as materials play an important factor in Profit & Loss;
Maintain relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors;
Ensure that the company runs legally and complies with the regulations;
Manage any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management from time to time.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Degree in Electronics and Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering discipline;
At least to have 10 to 15 years of working experience in OEM or EMS industry;
Career history demonstrated in expansion in scope, size of responsibility and people management. A mix
of breadth and depth of work experiences in various Operations roles such as in managing Production,
Engineering and Program Management and understanding Materials Supply Chain;
Preferably, good understanding of PCBA manufacturing in SMT and TLA (Top Level Test & Assembly)
Processes, particularly on types of Manufacturing technology needed. Eg: SMT & Test with focus on Cost
Control, Productivity improvement & Quality Control;
Good communication skills and having the exposure in interacting and building strong interface with
customers in the past and current employment;
Working knowledge on Profit & Loss (P&L) and manage P&L desired outcome;
Good business sense to grow customer engagement and size of business;
Strong problem solving, analytical skills and technical knowledge. Technically sound to review and
discuss with customer’s technical team on challenges related to the customer’s product both in quality
and technical review in existing and NPI products;
Multitask and able to work in a fast paced environment.
