Reporting Line(s):

 

 

• Head of Supply Chain

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

• Propose shipping schedule matching replenishment orders triggered by market

• Manage container shipping with responsibility from the factory until the destination port

• Handle relevant documentation along the process

• Act as point of contact between Knauf team in markets, Knauf team in Malaysia and Freight forwarder

• Validate freight spent via pre-invoicing / invoice validation

• Control and manage freight spend through improvement projects

• Organize loading at the plant to match vessel departure date creating as less disruptions as possible in the warehouse and container yard

• Report regularly on activity and performance to allow efficient collaboration within the plant and with markets

• Be the point of contact in case of claims from export markets

• Perform other related duties as assigned or required by the superiors.

 

Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

•        At least 5 years of experience in related field such as Logistics coordinator

•        Degree in business or any related field

•        Experience with international container shipping required

•        Experience with project basis / start-up company is an added advantage

•        ERP experience (SAP preferred)

•        Language: English

•        Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team, work within deadlines 

•        Ability to negotiate

•        Having the ability to create and maintain a positive relationship 

•        To be assertive and have self-confidence in presenting and supporting conclusions, having communication and interpersonal skills

•        Be able to multi-task and prioritize work (different projects and technologies)

•        Ability to be a creative thinker; search solutions and simplify the situation
