Job Description

You will assist the General Manager, Business Park & Industrial Malaysia, and be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the company’s developments in Nusajaya, Johor Bahru.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business partnering with Finance Shared Service, Operations teams and joint venture partners to provide advice on financial reporting and planning activities

• Review monthly closing of accounts, prepare financial reports, analysis for management’s decision making and ensure compliance with group’s accounting policies

• Review and monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow projection for loan drawdown or repayment decisions, monitoring of loan covenants

• Review SST reporting and income tax computations

• Preparation of financial statements, liaise with auditors and tax agents and ensure compliance with Malaysia financial reporting standards.

• Perform annual budgeting and periodic forecasting, including variance analysis and variance reporting

• Perform financial simulation or scenario planning and ongoing process improvements

Requirements:

• Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or ACCA, MACPA and/or MIA.

• At least 8 years of relevant working experience in a computerized accounting environment

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with Yardi accounting software and Cognos Controller (consolidation) is an added advantage

• Good understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax rules

• Knowledge of SST principles and reporting requirements

• Experience in the real estate industry is preferred

• Ability to work independently and deliver under tight timelines

• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
