Overall purpose of job:
The Demand Planning & Analyst is the main contact and the responsible person of timely and accurate end to end Demand Control process where he/she will work closely with commercial & operation teams to create consensus and to build demand execution plan. He/She will also involve in forecast data preparation, and data analysis which will set the base for a strong career within the organisation.
He/She must have the ability to operate at all levels within the organization, the ability to influence, and to adapt the communication style at different levels.
1. Perform decision making together with department stakeholders on open items and trade-offs, and prepare escalations for S&OP meetings & executive review where appropriate.
2. Compile forecast accuracy report and demand related information for monthly Demand Review meetings.
3. Prepare monthly forecast file for send-out and data collection within sales team according to IBP cycle timeline.
4. Ensure high quality and accuracy of sales data in SAP weekly sales pacing report.
5. Prepare insightful reports and files to sales team on regular basis, such as aged inventory reports, product availability data etc.
6. Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function
7. Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and evaluate forecast results.
8. Coordinate cross-functional discussion to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast output to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
9. Interact with sales, product management, supply and finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
1. Minimum 3 years of experience in Internal Audit, Planning (Supply Chain or Demand) or any cross functional role, preferably in manufacturing environment.
2. Intermediate/ advanced skill in MS Office, knowledge of Think-cell or Tableau is preferred.
3. Ability to handle and manage numerical information, with high attention to detail.
4. Strong analytical, organization, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
5. Capability to adapt and multitask in a fast paced environment, team player attitude is a must.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skill in English and Bahasa Malaysia, ability to summarize and explain complex information to different audience.
