  • Lead, manage, supervise and monitor tax team
  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the tax department
  • Liaising with tax authorities, clients, external auditor, tax agent, bankers and government bodies
  • Building relationships and interacting with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Providing innovative tax planning and reviewing complex income tax returns
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks
  • Manage tax provision and tax compliance process
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits
  • Assign projects/taks and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Review of tax computations of various industries (eg. Manufacturing, trading, services provider, construction, property developer, agricultural, etc)
  • Review of tax computations of sole proprietor, partnership, expatriates
  • Review client's tax estimate and/or revised estimate under self-assessment system and provide necessary advice and/or submit appeal relating to the tax estimates.
  • Promptly updates clients tax refund/credit
  • Provide advisory work/application on special tax incentives (eg. Pioneer status, Reinvestment allowances, investment tax allowance, double tax deductions, witholding tax and etc).
  • Provide advisory and prepare transfer pricing documentation
  • Prepare all tax papers in regular basis and handle all information data requests
  • Review and prepare RPGT submission
  • Handling and follow up tax audits/appeal
  • Provides trainings to tax, accounting and audit departments
  • Monitor and manage deadline submission/clients requests
  • Control engagement budget and actual budget
  • Monitor and control prompt billings and collections
  • Resolve issues and handle clients requests/feedback/complaints quickly and effectively
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
  • Proven knowledge of tax principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • To complete any ad-hoc task assigned by Senior Manager/HOD.
