Job Responsibility

1. Manage and lead the department to provide facilities and engineering support and ensure process capable production activities meeting time and cost objectives.
2. To design new process/products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
3. Confers with management, production, and sales staff to determine engineering process feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
4. To ensure that tools, process control / documentation / work instruction are ready for production, and maintain the BOM for MRP
5. To study into new machine / equipment to enhance capability and productivity.
6. To troubleshoot process / product problem in order to minimize production downtime and achieve product quality.
7. To work closely with all related departments to achieve productivity and reduce rejects rate through process engineering.
8. To study into modification of existing process in order to improve productivity, quality and cost reduction regularly.
9. To maintain the tool store and keep the tooling in serviceable condition at all time with tool life records and traceability.
10. To manage and maintain all the factory facilities in the company.
11. Any other duties as assigned from time to time.
12. Update F/A status with process capability and tooling cost.
13. Improvement on new process/product reports and capability.
14. Prepare monthly management report on engineering and facilities.
15. Prepare yearly department budget as required.
