Service Engineering



-To provide product support service (or trouble shooting) to external and internal customers globally, while meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction, profit and expense objectives.

-Must take a proactive approach to customer needs, after market opportunities and associate and customer training needs.

-To oversee the Group Service Dept and ensure common and standard practices are to be adopted at all sites.



A Degree in Business & Engineering from a recognized institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 


  • Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in installation and/or repair of electro-mechanical capital equipment.  Metal forming equipment installation and repair experience, including rigging and millwright skills preferred but not required.  Three to five years’ supervisory experience required.  


  • In depth knowledge of mechanical drive assemblies, material feeding and/or production line systems, electrical wiring, PLC controls/ladder logic diagrams and trouble shooting and pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components. 


  • General knowledge of MOM requirements and regulations to ensure associate and customer safety during installation and repair.


  • General knowledge of financial planning and analysis to plan department expenses and quote installations.


  • General knowledge of integrated ERP systems.


  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. 


  • Ability to travel up to 30% (inter-states)or more


  • Perform other duties as assigned. 





























To re-cultivate the press machine service market in Malaysia to ensure turnover target is achieved.

To organize the service operations of Service Department for the development of the engineers (current and new) to ensure growth and profitability of the company.

Ensure efficient use of resources in achieving total customer satisfaction of press systems” installations, repairs, parts sales, and training in the South-East Asia and India.


Visit customer/work sites to build strong customer relationships, assure quality, customer satisfaction and review installations.


Provide quotations for installations services, training and repairs and secure required approvals. 


Prepare, monitor and report on department annual operating budget, projects and staffing plan and adjust as required to meet or exceed customer satisfaction and division profit goals. 


Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of all aspects of the service related functions of the business information system. 


Work with Customer Service/Parts associates and Sales to identify and resolve customer questions and problems. 


Develop parts stocking inventory levels and distribution to support Sales and Marketing objectives and maintain customer satisfaction. 


Ensure timely feedback of quality information from customers and Service associates to Product Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing for product improvement. Nurtures, supervises and guides all service staffs in all aspects.
