Job Detail

This position is responsible for executing end-to-end Inbound logistics for an integrated Insulin manufacturing site. Incumbent would coordinate with user teams and suppliers for movement of raw materials, spares, packaging materials and consumables into the site and ensure adherence to GDP practices, This role would also be responsible to track and report expenses for inbound shipments.

Operational

• Execute day to day inbound transactions including verifying shipping documents, coordinate with forwarders/suppliers for movement of materials, customs clearance, delivery of materials on site
• Float RFQ to forwarder for new shipments, prepare comparative bids  
• Place booking to forwarders for ocean and air inbound.
• Confirm booking, AWB, BL and inbound documentation.
• Monitor shipment from loading port till arrival Biocon.
• Communicate with warehouse and user departments for receiving the inbound goods.

Negotiation/Communication

• Communicate with forwarders on customs documentation and ensure compliance to applicable laws on matters related to inbound.
• Negotiate with forwarder for transit lead time, desired shipping liner, port of loading and discharge port.

MIS Reporting

• Recorded data for monthly performance as per KPI Indicator.

• 3-5 years of exposure in international logistics trades.
• Customs procedures and documentation
• Experience in working with Global forwarders and logistics providers preferred
